Teaching & Mentoring

For over twenty years I taught Inner Relationship Focusing, including all four levels of the curriculum, and led specialized workshops applying and adapting Focusing. Meditation and movement facilitation were woven into these offerings.

I mentored many students toward becoming Focusing professionals — one on one, in collaboration with Focusing Resources, and through my local training programs. I served for 24 years as a certified Focusing Coordinator with The International Focusing Institute, and remain a certified Focusing Trainer.

I led two local groups through the Focusing Professional Certification Program — one in 2015-2017 and another that completed in June 2024. I have also taught Focusing and other awareness practices to retreat groups locally and as far away as Bali, Indonesia.

This chapter of my work has largely wound down. Focusing remains central to my own practice and informs everything I offer — and I remain open to targeted engagement for sharing this foundational work.

I am grateful for the role of teachers and mentors, past and present, in my own life. It has been an honor to have served in that role myself.
